LUMACAR RENTAL

Legal & rental information

Terms and conditions

These general terms explain how requests, quotations and rentals with Luma Car Rental LLC work. Your confirmed quotation and signed rental agreement contain the booking-specific figures and form part of these terms.

Company and scope

Luma Car Rental LLC, Dubai DET trade licence 1335943, arranges self-drive vehicle rentals in Dubai. The registered office is at Office No. 108, Saaeed Bin Jumaa Building, Al Nahda 2, Dubai, UAE. Vehicle handovers and returns take place at the location agreed in the booking.

Requests, availability and vehicle substitution

A website request is not a confirmed booking. The selected vehicle is supplied subject to operational availability. If it becomes unavailable, Luma may offer a vehicle of the same or higher comparable category. The make, model, colour, model year and key specifications are confirmed before the customer accepts the booking.

Price and payment

The checkout total is calculated from the displayed daily rate for the selected dates plus 5% VAT. Any delivery charge, mileage allowance, security requirement and insurance excess are confirmed before handover. Online payment secures the request; Luma then confirms the assigned vehicle by email and WhatsApp. If the selected vehicle or a comparable alternative cannot be supplied, Luma will cancel and refund the payment.

Driver eligibility and documents

Every driver must meet the age, licence-validity and document requirements stated in the quotation and agreement. UAE residents generally require an Emirates ID and UAE driving licence. Visitors generally require a passport, visa or entry evidence and an eligible driving licence; an International Driving Permit may also be required depending on the issuing country.

Use of the vehicle

The vehicle may be driven only by approved drivers and only within permitted areas. Illegal use, racing, off-road use unless expressly authorized, sub-rental, smoking where prohibited, or driving under the influence is not allowed. The customer must protect the keys and vehicle and promptly report warning lights, breakdowns, accidents, damage or theft.

Mileage, fuel, tolls and fines

The mileage allowance and excess-kilometre rate are stated in the booking. The vehicle must be returned with the agreed fuel level. Salik, parking, traffic fines, impound charges and related authority or administration costs incurred during the rental remain the customer’s responsibility where permitted by law.

Insurance, damage and excess

The applicable insurance protection, exclusions and customer excess are stated in the agreement. The customer must obtain a police report or follow the authority-approved reporting process after an accident. Insurance may not apply where the agreement, traffic law or reporting requirements are breached.

Delivery, return and extensions

Handover and return locations and times must be agreed in advance. Extensions require written confirmation before the original return time and may use a different rate. Late return, excessive cleaning, missing fuel, missing accessories, damage or recovery may result in additional charges under the signed agreement.

Cancellations and refunds

The booking-specific cancellation conditions are disclosed before confirmation. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. Questions may be sent to info@lumacrd.com.
